This summer, take a second to escape with Arizona’s very own play on the Moscow mule. Throughout the summer, you can pick up this cocktail at District American Kitchen and Wine Bar in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. With ginger beer and vodka mixed with prickly pear and lime, summer just got a whole lot cooler.
Ingredients
· 1ó ounces Arroyo vodka
· ó fresh squeezed lime
· Pressed fresh prickly pear from the restaurant’s rooftop garden
· Ginger beer
Preparation
· Add a fresh skinned piece of prickly pear into a highball glass.
· Press the prickly pear slightly to release small amount of juice without muddling.
· Add vodka and lime over ice.
· Top with ginger beer.
· Stir ingredients just enough to mix thoroughly.
